Great new draught arrivals:

Boulevard Nutcracker Ale: Pours a dark copper with a fluffy tan head. Aromas of spice, and deep roasted malt. Flavor is a balanced complex malt, toffee and spice. 6.60 ABV.  A very nice winter ale.

Bells Best Brown: Pours reddish brown with light tan head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and nuts. Flavor is mild with roasted malts and a light-burnt caramel finish. Very drinkable.

Kasteel Rouge: A Belgian re-incarnation of a kreik; this is a blended bruin and a kreik, 8% ABV, highly drinkable and easier on the palate compared to a true lambic kreik. Pouring dark, moderate lace, with hints of almond and cherry in the aroma. Flavor is of sweet cherry, soft on the palate without any complexity with a slight acidity in the finish.

La Chouffe: Pours a hazy gold with a nice foaming white cap that leaves thick lace as the head slowly sinks. The nose has aromas of fruits and spice. Banana, apple, caramel and yeast are present. The flavors are sweet malts and sharp hops with coriander notes, tingly mouthfeel, and rich bodied. A classic and it is 8 % abv.

Rogue Double Dead Guy: Mohagany in color, rich full palate of rich toffee and caramel. Aroma is loaded with floral notes. The taste is blended nicely with a fresh spicy hop character.

Schlafly Coffee Stout: This collaboration with Kaldi's Coffee uses the cold toddy method of extraction for the coffee. It is mixed with Oatmeal Stout for an exceptionally delicious beer. Dark, flavorful and better than Starbucks.

Southampton Altbier:  Pours a clear dark brown with small fizzy head. Light aromas of munich malt and noble hops. Flavor is toasty with some caramel and light brown sugar notes.

Great new bottle arrivals:

Avery Czar 2008: This stout is a Russian Imperial Stout, thus the name. Crimson hues shine through an inky blackness. Inhale the noble Hallertau hops offering a spicy and floral aroma. Flavors redolent of English toffee, rich mocha, sweet molasses, candied currants and a hint of anise. 11.04% abv.

Avery Old Jubilation: This dark red ale is an English style Old Ale and is very full-bodied with a malty, toasty, nutty flavor. Relatively high in alcohol content. Finish is a balance of deep malt and hop bitterness. 8.0%

Achel Brun Trappist: This Belgian Dubbel is brown in color, slighty hazy with a thick tan head. Aromas of sweet malts, spicy yeast and dark tropical fruits. Flavors are the same with a nice balenced creaminess. 8.0 ABV.

Dark Island: Color is almost black with dark red highlights and a dense tan head. Dark fruits, roasy malts, and a hint of chocalate are all present in the aroma. The dark fruits are carried over in the flavor with some malty sweetness for the backbone, overall impression is a great brew.

Gouden Carolus Noel: This dark strong ale pours a deep clear bown with ruby hues and a thick off white head. Aromas of dark tropical fruits, coco, and some alcohol. A relaxed flavor of spices mixed with fruits, some sweetness and alcohol warmth. 10.50 ABV.

Mikkeller Santa's Little Helper: A Strong Dark Ale inspired by the Belgian Christmas ales pouring a murky brownish black. A melody of roasted malts, spices, cocoa and dark fruits in the nose and flavor amoung a settle alcohol warmth. 11.00 ABV.

Redhook Double Black Stout: Really, really stout. I mean really stout. Like way out there stout. It's got Starbucks coffee in it.

Spaten Optimator: The dark lager has hints of chocolate and lots of malts in the aroma. It is very full bodied and can be considered liquid bread. It is strong and full of malt flavors with some sweetness as expected. Nice dopple bock.
